Digital Stone Project
Digital Stone Project and Garfagnana Innovazione have established a constant collaboration, organizing an annual event, now in its seventh edition, to bring artists, designers and architects to Garfagnana, giving them the opportunity to work with new technologies and the famous Tuscan marble . Every year a group of 20-30 artists stay in Garfagnana, creating their works by combining classic methods of sculpture and work with new technologies to obtain experimental, exploratory works with a strong visual impact.
Digital Stone Project (DSP) is an American non-profit technology organization serving artists, architects and designers that aims to provide them with the knowledge necessary to create innovative three-dimensional works of art using digital technology. DSP is a bridge between technology and art that offers the opportunity to realize the latter through digital application, research and experimentation, encouraging collaboration, innovation and research, and helping artists and educators to reach the highest levels of creative expression through the use of 3D technology. This experience is even more interesting thanks to the collaboration of Autodesk, a world-leading company in the creation of CAD CAM software. Thanks to this agreement, workshop participants always have access to the most advanced software in the sector.
