Digital Stone Project
The Digital Stone Project (DSP) is a Not For profit technology organization based in the USA that serves artists, architects, designers and the public at large by providing them with the means and knowledge necessary to realize innovative three-dimensional works of art using digital technologies. The DSP bridges art and technology by offering state of the art opportunities for digital application, research, and experimentation. We encourage collaboration, embrace innovation and research, and we help artists and educators achieve the highest level of creative expression using 3D technology. This experience is even more interesting thanks to the collaboration of Autodesk, a world leader in CAD CAM software. Thanks to this understanding, workshop participants can always have the most advanced software in this area.
Digital Stone Project and Garfagnana Innovazione have established a constant collaboration, organizing an annual event (in 2019 to the seventh edition) to bring artists, designers and architects to Garfagnana, giving them the opportunity to work with the new technologies and the famous marble of Tuscany. Every year a group of 20-30 artists stay in Garfagnana, realizing their works by combining classic sculpting methods and working with new technologies to get experimental, explorative, and visually impressive work.
